so far i have not forgotten something important like this... will probably be forgetting a whole lot of stuff if I ever get that bad i probably need to hang it up...

Business is about to pick up... Frat convention... NASCAR stuff... weather getting warmer. ..and Spring Break for the kids. Hoping to have the twins hang out with Grandma for a day... I also am thinking i need to get some more glasses. Not that my current ones dont work but they are somewhat scratched and as i may have alluded to before, I think I wanna do thicker frames... more Malcolm X like... also think I might be starting to get a lot of grey... starting to get old... sometime starting to feel old.. especially when I rarely talk to anyone... well, I do get to talk to my wife and kids, which is most importatnt. But any contact with any other friends is pretty much non existent now... I guess that is how it goes...

Yesterday saw everybody jumping on the new fad on Facebook of changing their profile ikons to the gay marriage thingy. Cute... but what.. people just now finding out about this? I think I am not finding gay marraige my cup o tea... but it is only fair that gay/lesbian couples be allowed to marry. I dont see where the "family" is going to break down cause of it. Isnt it your personal responsibility in your family to make sure it is strong as possible? If Ted and Fred are married and what not, how is that changing the values I teach my kids if i am doing my job? If i aint doing my job, then.. well... thats my fault. Not Ted and Fred's ... the way I hear some people talking they have forgotten that it used to be illegal for me to vote... or go to school with white people.. or be married to white girls... or for that matter, for those same white girls to even vote themselves... time to let this one go... bigger fish to fry...

Tonight my son was watchin' The Bible on History Channel and he went and got one of the first books he learned to read back in the day... I remember he would fall asleep reading this book and he demonstrated to me tonight that he remember a lot of the stories better than I do now... I watched some of it and it reminded me of the Charlton Heston stuff that used to ALWAYS come on bout this time (EASTER) when I was growing up... this show on History Channel is a bit more realistic in the character portrayals of people who would have been in that area at that time... um.. No Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra or Heston as Moses. Not too many white people in Eygpt back in the day... not too many white people in Egypt now, as a matter of fact....

Here it is 2:30am and I am watching Formula 1 on tv live from Australia.  I used to follow it intently back in the days of Nigel Mansell and traction control and computer controlled suspension. I used to know every driver team and manufacturer. I think I am going to get back into it and try to get to the Austin texas race one year. ... it is so high tech yet they are essentially very expensive (and fast) go karts...
