As of this moment, I am officially pondering a moratorium on wearing any of my Clemson gear (except for hats) until a time as which I see ANY Clemson Athletic team actually show up for a game that matters... this goes for my cool heavyweight sideline grey football sweat, purple sweat with sewn on letters, grey hoodie with sewn on letters, Athletic Dept t-shirts, various sideline gear T's and and one of 43 band t-shirts i might still have floating around. It also includes the cool Clemson A & M t-shirt I have been holding in reserve... I am swaying heaviliy to the moratorium...maybe even giving some stuff away....

Dude, don't be a fair-weather fan. I remember you wearing your Clemson stuff back in '01 when we went 2-14 in the ACC. Obviously you didn't dump your team in '04 when we finished 10-18; we would've killed for a 23-9 season with a ranked team in the tournament.
Yeah, this season wasn't quite as good as last season and yeah we sucked at the end there, but if high school taught me anything it's this; just because you lose to your across town rival 82-0, doesn't mean you stop being a fan of your team. If you don't support them when they suck, you don't deserve to ride them when they're good. Clemson will get there, and when they do, you'll be glad you stuck with them even when they could only play half a season.
That said, it does suck being a Clemson fan. If they don't rise my blood pressure enough to kill me, I'll be there with ya when they finally manage some credibility.
By the way, that high school example I gave was a football game.
OK...the "Was it over when the Germans bombed pear Harbor" speech has made me decide to hang in their and not take away half my wardrobe. I will stand tall and proud in the tradition of following my Braves even when they lost 100 games a year... i was a momentary weakness... thanks for the slap in the face
Don't worry, Grandpa, we all have those moments of weakness. That is the life a Clemson fan. Of course, you already know this. Better than the rest of us. :)
I also seem to be having issues with spelling...
spelling aside, i want more details about this mysterious clemson a&m shirt;)...
as someone who was literally jumping up and down in my apt when we crushed duke this year, i found that those thoughts comforting as i read the details last night, and you were right about purnell's suit. nice.

Well, It is a simple weathered looking blue (or is it purple...can't remember)t shirt with Clemson in simple block type (not sure of the font...i will attempt to find out for ya) on top and "A & M" below it. Very retro looking, weathered, old school..."old head" looking... I'll snap a foto tonight and shoot it to ya... It's been sittin in the drawer waiting for that "special" occasion. You know EXACTLY what i am talking about too...
Yeah I was >this< close to putting "Who's with me? HOOOOOOOOO!!!!" at the end of the post, but couldn't figure out how to run out of a comment section on a blog.
