the kids have taken a liking to Weird Al Yankovic... I think they like the music more that the humor/satire he brings to his songs

Hard to believe he's almost 50... kind of funny we got to enjoy him in our youth and now your kids are enjoying him too :-) That's some staying power and nothing to sneeze at in consideration of the million one-hit wonders on and off the radar during the last 25 plus years.
