in other news....

I-Man has started soccer practices and his first game is next week. Looks like he will be doing goalie duty and defender duty mostly this half season. I think this suits him for now. He is still not aggressive enough for striker and he seems to prefer that defensive mindset.

The Frat has its Candidate Retreat this weekend and Alumni are officially invited for the first time. Even though I only expect about 15 Alumni, I think it is a positive step in the direction that will give Alumni an avenue for involvement as well as a planning step for the future.

And Battlestar is winding down... i am wondering if their is a huge ending to this or if it will pull a Seinfeld and simply whimper off into the night...

...speaking of which, don't get me started on Clemson Basketball....

1. can't help but think that bsg will go out like seinfeld...with a satisfying episode that doesn't really tie anything up. just too many ends and they're too far apart to be tied up easily.

2. i think the i-man'll be just fine as a defender...just think about the difference between freddie adu & eddie pope...

3. clemson ball...sigh...somehow i knew that me dancing about my apt after the horn for the duke beatdown would result in some karmic backlash...remember how we explained to pam's friend about clemson's love/hate relationship with success? sigh...shakin head...sigh

BSG:
There's a lot of potential in the story arc, and capability from the writers. So, let's just wildly speculate, shall we?
We will learn that the planet nuked (by Starbuck!!! In cohorts with old-buddy-of-Sam-Beckett-from-Quantum-Leap perhaps?) was *not* earth, but rather a decoy; the real earth is still out there, but hidden/secreted away due to its role and importance in unifying the humans and cylons. At a crucial moment, it is revealed, and they all head there. Meanwhile, buddy-of-Sam-Beckett has splintered the Five, and has managed to reinvent resurrection.
Just as the (ailing, failing) Galactica and fleet enter the earth system, Kyra Thrace hears some music, gets in her fighter, heads out, and nukes the fleet! KA BLAM!!! All humanity, gone! Except...
They all get resurrected on earth. The entire complement of Galactica and the rest of the fleet.
The final episode fades as they all gawk at each other, watching the fleet wreckage burn up in Earth's atmosphere...
